Ms. McCann, based in New York City, has 23 years of experience in the real estate industry. Ms. McCann is Rockwood’s Head of Capital and Client Strategies. In this capacity, Ms. McCann oversees Rockwood's global fundraising and investor relations efforts and contributions to the formulation and execution of capital strategies.

Prior to joining Rockwood, Ms. McCann held senior roles in strategy and product development, investor relations, acquisitions, and investment banking. Ms. McCann was most recently a Managing Director with USAA Real Estate Company and served as the product specialist for opportunistic and credit strategies. Prior to joining USAA Real Estate Company, Ms. McCann was a Senior Vice President and Partner with H/2 Capital Partners and a Principal with Ranieri Real Estate Partners. Her experience also includes eight years in the Deutsche Bank Securities Real Estate Investment Banking Group focused on M&A along with equity and debt financings.

Ms. McCann received a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Columbia Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Urban Studies from Brown University.


Jonathan Slager serves as Partner, Chief Executive Officer & Chief Investment Officer of Bridge Multifamily. He has experience in the real estate, finance, and software industries beginning in 1985.

 Jonathan has been involved in underwriting, acquiring and managing over $8 Billion in assets and has been a key driver of asset executions and returns. From 2005 to 2009, Jonathan was a partner with The Pacific Group USA, Inc., and with Bridge Loan Capital Fund where he was responsible for major acquisitions, development, and entitlements and financing of major real estate projects. Jonathan worked for nearly a decade at The Koll Company and then Wells Fargo Bank where he was responsible for the acquisition, development, asset management and disposition of commercial real estate assets. Jonathan played the leading role on large institutional commercial real estate projects ranging from resort, residential, office, industrial and retail projects. Jonathan earned his MBA in Finance and Marketing from New York University in 1985. He earned his BA in English, Phi Beta Kappa cum laude, from the University of Utah in 1981.

Paul Hughson is an Executive Managing Director at Island Capital Group, having joined in July 2009 after enjoying a 16 year banking relationship with Island and its predecessor company, Insignia Financial Group.

Prior to his affiliation with Island, Mr. Hughson was a member of the Lehman Brothers Global Real Estate Group for 15 years, and was the head of global credit distribution.  Mr. Hughson joined Lehman in 1993 to develop Lehman Brothers’ conduit securitization platform and subsequently became responsible for all of Lehman’s proprietary and client based Agency CMBS and CRE CDO securitization businesses bringing over $100B of new issue securitized product to market. In 2004 Mr. Hughson became the head of Lehman Brothers’ Bridge Equity business which successfully redistributed approximately $4B of real estate equity into the institutional marketplace.  

Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, from 1986-1993, Mr. Hughson practiced real estate law with Thacher Proffitt & Wood.

Mr. Hughson received his J.D. from the University of Virginia in 1986 and his B.A. from Tufts University in 1983.
