Susan Hosterman is a Senior Director in the North American RMBS and Covered Bonds group at Fitch Ratings. Susan began her career at Fitch in 2006, evaluating the credit risk of newly issued U.S. RMBS transactions.

In 2008 Susan transitioned to Fitch’s U.S. RMBS surveillance team where she monitored the performance and assessed the credit risk of Fitch rated U.S. RMBS transactions. After which Susan added to her knowledge of RMBS by assessing the operational capabilities of U.S. and Canadian originators and servicers for two years. Susan has been in her current role as lead analyst for U.S. and Canadian RMBS and Covered Bonds for the past five years.

Prior to working at Fitch, Susan worked at Bloomberg and Reuters focusing on U.S. Structured Finance research and modeling. 

Susan holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Economics from New York University and a B.A. in Financial Economics from Moravian College.

Ryan Craft is the Founder and CEO of Saluda Grade, and has spent his entire career focused on mortgage-backed securities and securitized products.

Most recently, Ryan was the Head of Securitized Product Sales at Baird, where he built out a fully bolstered sales and trading division by hiring over 25 new salespeople and adding multiple new trading and banking businesses. Mr. Craft began his career at Merrill Lynch as a Non Agency and Subprime RMBS trader through the 2008 financial crisis. After the BofA acquisition, he traded the ABX and CMBX credit default swap indices mapping Subprime and Commercial mortgages. After transitioning to Securitized Product sales, he was recruited to join Royal Bank of Canada after becoming a top producer across Bank of America’s Global Fixed Income division. Mr. Craft earned a BS in Finance & Management from Georgetown University, where he captained the Hoyas baseball team and earned First Team All-BIG EAST honors.

Julia Curran has over 25 years of experience in the mortgage industry, with over 13 years in the due diligence arena. Julia joined SitusAMC in 2013, previously holding director and/or vice president level positions on both the vendor and investment bank sides of the residential mortgage due diligence industry. 

 

Julia started her career on the origination side of the business developing systems to automate the originations process and then worked in the secondary marketing, servicing and master servicing areas managing various aspects of each department. She has managed the definition of business requirements leading to system design, development, implementation and maintenance of mortgage origination, servicing, due diligence and quality control systems; initiated and controlled operational reviews of companies that serviced loans for, or were selected for purchase by clients; and created and managed a Master Servicing Department for a major Wall Street firm.

 

Julia has managed hundreds of due diligence projects covering whole loan purchases as well as rated private securities. Most recently, Julia leads all securitization efforts for the clients of SitusAMC. She is co-chair of the MISMO Private Label Securitization Development Workgroup and heavily involved with the Structured Finance Association.
