About The Conference

iGlobal Forum was pleased to host the next Independent Sponsors & Capital Providers Dealmakers Meeting on June 24th, 2020, as a Virtual Experience.

Building on iGlobal’s long-standing success of the Independent Sponsor Summit series and the industry’s largest gathering, this exclusive new format consisted of 4 hours of only high-level, sector-specific 1x1 networking meetings between senior-level capital providers and independent sponsor executives.

These meetings were dedicated to developing partnerships unique to attendee's business models and provided the opportunity to meet exclusively with those independent sponsors or capital providers specializing in investments in the same sector and market.

Attendees were provided with a full list of participating capital providers and independent sponsors prior to the event -  to evaluate the potential for future business opportunities.

"I wanted to thank you and the IGlobal team for Thursday - feedback has been fantastic - and I met many new people.

This was an extremely successful event and looking forward to many more."

Claudine M. Cohen, Principal,
Transactional Advisory Services – NE Market Leader.
Financial Sponsors Industry – Co‑Leader

"All-in-all a very positive experience. It was extremely efficient. Plus it saved us a hotel room and flight costs!"

AGENDA

1:00 - 1:45 pm - ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION

ROUNDTABLE

Negotiating and Closing Deals in a Post-Covid Marketplace

Because the COVID-19 crisis and the resulting distress are not geographically restricted, industry-specific, or size-specific, private equity investors of all stripes on both the buy and sell side of M&A transactions need to prepare for a high-risk, high-pressure period in an economy so unique that it’s all but impossible to predict accurately based on historical models or previous recessions.

  • What are the strategies to mitigating the risks inherent in post-Covid deals?
  • Calculating purchase price as a multiple of EBITDA-C.
  • What negotiating terms and conditions can independent sponsors expect?
  • How has Covid impacted the due diligence process?
  • What capital providers will expect before investing in distressed businesses?
  • What unique market intelligence is needed to close distressed transactions?
