About The Conference

iGlobal Forum was pleased to host the next Independent Sponsors & Capital Providers Dealmakers Meeting on December 3rd, 2020, as a Virtual Experience.

Building on iGlobal Forum's long-standing success of the Independent Sponsor Summit series and the industry’s largest gathering, this exclusive new format consisted of 4 hours of only high-level, sector-specific 1x1 networking meetings between senior-level capital providers and independent sponsor executives.

The meetings were dedicated to developing partnerships unique to each attendee's business model and provided them with the opportunity to meet exclusively with those independent sponsors or capital providers specializing in investments in the same sector and market as you are.

Attendees received a full list of participating capital providers and independent sponsors prior to the event - with the chance then to evaluate the potential for future business opportunities.

This event was limited to 50 participants only, and attendees met and networked directly with leading industry professionals and decisionmakers all under one roof such as: Independent Sponsors (Fundless Sponsors), Private Equity Firms, Family Offices, Mezzanine Lenders, Hedge Funds, Institutional Investors, HNWIs (High Net Worth Individuals) and M&A Intermediaries/Advisors.

"I wanted to thank you and the IGlobal team for Thursday - feedback has been fantastic - and I met many new people.

This was an extremely successful event and looking forward to many more."

Claudine M. Cohen, Principal,

AGENDA

1:00 - 1:45 pm -INDEPENDENT SPONSOR UPDATE: DEAL TERMS, NEGOTIATIONS, DILIGENCE AND SPONSOR/CAPITAL PROVIDER RELATIONSHIPS

Independent Sponsors have found solutions to the challenges of today’s market conditions. Absent the burdens associated with managing a fund and supporting a huge back-office, they have been smart and nimble managing risk and pursuing opportunities. Moving deals through the transaction process with the complications of government stimulus programs, restrictions on travel and face-to-face meetings, economic uncertainty and the impact of Covid-19 on valuations, has been a challenge for the broader dealmaking community, but independent sponsors are successfully negotiating, closing and financing deals.

During this conversation, you’ll gain insight into how deals are getting done amid today’s market conditions.
